Refinished Wood Antique Hutch

Refinished Antique Hutch- now available!

This gorgeous antique solid wood hutch has been refinished & is ready for a new home.

I wanted to give it a modern touch but keep as much of the original wood as possible. It was restained in a red mahogany color, then conditioned & sealed in a beeswax and citrus wood finish that seals from within the grain and out, vs just a surface level sealant.

I removed the top crown molding accent to give this a more modernized look & used gold metallic paint to apply the design by hand on the bottom doors. New metallic gold handles were installed to the doors and the drawer.

The drawer and back of the top portion of the hutch are lined in a black and metallic gold durable water resistant vinyl paper. The wooden grid for the original glass doors were refinished in metallic gold as well.

The hutch perfectly locks & unlocks on the top and bottom cabinet portions using the original included skeleton key, and has door clasps on the inside of both the top & bottom portions.

The wood grain & brilliance in the shelves and sides of the hutch is truly something you have to see in person. Whoever originally built this, did an incredible job as it is super strong and sturdy!

Top half depth: 12.75”
